Gary Washington is a cellist, composer, and performer creating music at the intersection of classical, jazz, and contemporary expression. From writing for orchestras and chamber ensembles to leading his own band and performing solo cello with beatboxing, his work is rooted in innovation and storytelling.

Originally from the United States, Gary found his musical home in New Orleans, where the city’s culture and improvisational spirit became central to his artistic voice. Now based in London and Manchester, he continues to perform and compose internationally while exploring new ways to expand the role of the cello in modern music.
